TOTAN - How to Update the Software via USB

This guide explains how to install a software update on your Pedretti pinball machine using a USB flash drive.

What you need

• A USB flash drive
• The latest software update file
• Access to the pinball machine

Step 1 – Download the software update

Download the latest software update from the link provided by Pedretti Support.

The downloaded file will be provided as a compressed archive.

Step 2 – Extract the downloaded file

Once the download is complete, extract the contents of the archive on your computer.

Inside the extracted folder you will find the update file required by the machine.

Step 3 – Copy the update file to the USB drive

Connect the USB flash drive to your computer.

Copy the update file exactly as provided to the USB drive.

Important:
Do not rename, modify or extract the update file itself.

Step 4 – Connect the USB drive to the pinball machine

Insert the USB flash drive containing the update file into the appropriate USB port on the machine.

Step 5 – Start the software update

Follow the update procedure on the pinball machine.

Once the update starts, do not switch off the machine and do not remove the USB drive until the installation has been completed.

Step 6 – Complete the update

Wait for the update process to finish completely.

Once the machine has completed the installation and restarted normally, the USB flash drive can be removed.

Your pinball machine is now running the updated software.

Important

Never turn off the machine or remove the USB flash drive while an update is in progress. Interrupting the installation may prevent the software from being installed correctly.
